Windows of Vision – eBook
Studio Designer Series
by Leslie Perlis Studio
This fourth book in our popular Studio Designer Series will inspire and excite the creative spirit in everyone who enjoys and appreciates elegant glass with an exceptional vision.
Leslie Perlis’s art glass creations have been delighting both public and private spaces for more than 40 years. The collection of designs in this book provides 66 color photographs, 43 detailed line drawings and 15 gray-scale images, selected from her portfolio of work to chronicle her diverse style. Leslie takes her inspiration from the ocean in her signature sea-forms pieces, as she explores the relationship of bold flowing curves, stark straight lines and bright energetic colors to produce an exuberant visual experience. A collection of her more recent work is also included that combines fused glass, metal and wood to create unique mosaic sculptures.
Leslie Perlis has been a glass artist since first discovering it in 1975 and she has amassed a very large collection of drawings and photographs that she generously agreed to share with the world. Leslie’s work challenges the boundaries of glass art with a style that is all her own. Her signature sea-form designs that are rendered in vivid color are nothing short of spectacular. Much of Leslie’s work is fabricated traditional lead or foil technique but she likes to add details using blown, etched, painted and fused glass components. Her commitment to artistic excellence while pushing the technical envelope is in evidence throughout this collection.
